I’ve known James Ruffell all my life.
When I was around 15, he helped me record some songs onto a CD — yeah, remember those? It wasn’t just about the music. That CD meant the world to my family, especially my dad (God rest his soul). Those recordings captured a moment in time that we still hold close.
This past week, I’ve had the chance to spend time with James again — recording footage, taking photos, and doing a lot of reminiscing. It’s been more than just creative work; it’s been meaningful.
Over the years, I’ve sung all over — on stages, in musicals, and at more than a few drunken karaoke nights. Music’s taken me down a lot of roads, some professional, some just for the love of it. But looking back, I can honestly say James was one of my earliest inspirations.
He helped me when he didn’t have to — and that kind of support sticks with you.
So this is just a little thank you.
Thank you, James, for being a part of the beginning… and still being here now.
